🌿 NAIDOC Week May Have Passed… But Our Journey Continues Every Day 🌿

At Mi Kids, NAIDOC Week is more than a week of celebration—it reflects the way we learn, connect and care every day.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives are embedded throughout our program through meaningful, authentic experiences. From our daily Acknowledgement of Country, observing the changing seasons in our native gardens, exploring our local wetlands, and learning alongside our Bush to Bowl educators, children develop a genuine connection with Country, community and the world around them.

This commitment has inspired our newest community project as we extend our learning from our Mi Kids community into our wider neighbourhood through the Northern Beaches Wildflower Project at Moriac Reserve.

Together with our families, children and educators, we will help create a native wildflower meadow that supports local flora and fauna, increases biodiversity, and provides children with a lasting opportunity to care for Country through hands-on, meaningful experiences.

We are looking forward to working alongside our families to prepare, plant and nurture this special space, showing our children that caring for the environment is something we do together.

Because at Mi Kids, connection to Country, sustainability and community aren't celebrated for just one week—they're part of who we are, every single day. 💚
