At Mi Kids, our 2026 focus is on one powerful word: Relationships 💛

We began the year with our annual Smoking Ceremony led by Clarence from Bush to Bowl — a sacred moment of cleansing and new beginnings. Together, we reflected on our relationship with Mother Earth and the responsibility we hold to protect, respect and model this connection for the next generation.

Bush to Bowl has now returned for weekly visits, and our children are beginning to create their own Seasonal Calendar — learning to read the seasons through an Aboriginal perspective by observing what the climate, plants and animals are doing.

This year, our Wetlands Walks will go deeper than nature play. We will slow down, notice, question and truly connect to the land around us.

Because relationships are not only about people — they are about our connection to Country, community and the future we are shaping together 🌿Image attachmentImage attachment+Image attachment
