We operate 50 weeks of the year and closed on public holidays. The Centre shuts down for 2 weeks during the Christmas/ New Years Holiday so that educators can recharge their batteries and families don’t have to pay during the festive period and have more time with their children.

About Us

We are a family-owned Northern Beaches long-day early childhood centre and pre-school conveniently located on Warriewood Road, Warriewood.

Our educators provide a nurturing, happy and stimulating learning environment for children from six weeks old to when they start school.

🚦 Road Safety Week at Mi Kids! 🛴🚸

This week, our children embraced Road Safety Week with a series of fun, active, and educational experiences across all age groups!

🧒 Our Toddlers kicked things off with a special excursion to the carpark. Wearing safety vests and helmets, they learned how to ride safely, spot road signs like “Stop” and “Go,” and navigate our obstacle course while understanding that carparks are not places to play without an adult.

🧠 In the Preschool rooms, children explored the meaning of road signs and created their own during craft activities—building fine motor skills and early literacy. 🚧 They also took turns riding their bikes and scooters in the carpark, practising real-life road safety awareness and spatial navigation.

💪 For many, this was their first time using their wheels in a new environment—and they showed amazing resilience in giving things a go. Even when it felt tricky, they persisted with putting on their helmets and manoeuvring their scooters. These are lifelong skills that build confidence and independence, and we’re so proud of their efforts!

🛑 We also explored the important concept of safe vs. unsafe in the Toddler room through visual flashcards and group discussions, helping our little ones learn how to make safe choices in everyday situations.

This hands-on learning experience supported not only road safety awareness but also resilience, social responsibility, and motor skill development. We’re so proud of our little riders and safe thinkers! ❤️

🌿 Walking Gently, Listening Deeply – Connecting to Country at Mikids 🌿

This week at Mikids, we’ve been reflecting on the powerful messages shared at the ACEG Language Forum—reminding us that language is not just spoken, it is felt, lived, and shared through connection to people, place, and spirit.

We don’t need to have all the answers. It’s okay not to know. What matters is walking this journey together—listening to hear, not to respond, and building relationships that honour the knowledge of Country and culture.

🌀 Through our everyday experiences, our children are engaging in these lessons firsthand:

🪶 Junior Preschool’s Wetlands Excursion (1 May):
Climbing trees, spotting birds, and observing the wetlands awakened their curiosity, critical thinking, and connection to nature. Their teamwork, resilience, and sense of wonder reminded us that Country is both teacher and guide.

🌱 Bush to Bowl with Cooper (30 April):
Cooper taught us about Aboriginal seasons—how they connect to plants, animals, wind, water, and traditional knowledge. Children mapped their learning and connected deeply with the idea that Country speaks to us if we take the time to listen.

💧 Senior Preschool Puddle Hunt to Circle Park:
Rain pants on, boots squelching in puddles, and wide eyes spotting mushrooms and flowing streams—children engaged all their senses in nature. They learned to assess risks, trust their instincts, and respect the natural world, even in the wet and muddy moments.

At Mikids, we’re not just teaching children about Country—we’re walking with them on Country, learning alongside them, building relationships with land, water, sky, and each other.

💚 With heartfelt thanks to the inspiring voices at the ACEG Forum—for reminding us that learning language and culture begins with relationship, respect, and deep listening.
